Marlene was gasping loudly and giggling at the rainbow setting of the sky. Truly, it was amazing to see the iridescent clouds that would only appear once in their life times. Cloud was smiling serenely, he was almost at peace with his new family. Tifa could not help but smile as well; something so simple yet so beautiful had made everyone happy...

Cloud could almost anticipate the battle, he was panicking inside.

"Tifa, get Marlene inside."

The wind started picking up speed, the clouds darkening with every second. He checked his cellphone for the last time before proceeding to leave. Tifa would be worried about where he was. So would Marlene.

Since Barret had left to settle his past, he wanted to go on journey of his own. But, he had said, "You guys can do that here. Don't just take. Try proving that you can give, too."

He focused his eyes away from the raining sky and toward the voice. It seemed that he was in pain but he kept the stare anyway.

"Both... of us?"

"That's right... you're gonna..."

Zack was breathing. Cloud leaned in closer to his bloodstained body.

"You're gonna..." Cloud wanted him to continue. Zack found his hand around Cloud's head and grasped it firmly. He brought it down to his chest.

"Live." They stayed like that for a while.

"You'll be... my living legacy..." Cloud could hear his heart beating slower.
